Ingredients

  • 1 cup - raw rice
  • 1/4 cup - toor dal
  • 2 tbsp - vendhayam
  • 2 tbsp - urad dal
  • 2 tbsp - channa dal
  • 1.5 tbsp - salt
  • 1/4 cup - butter milk
  • 1 tbsp - mustard
  • 3 - green chillies
  • 3 tbsp - oil

How to Make Thavalai dosai

  • Powder the rice, dals and vendhayam (without frying) coarsely.
  • To the powdered mix, add butter milk, salt, water and keep it aside for 15 mins.
  • Using oil, fry the green chillies and mustard. Add it to the mixture.
  • Depending on the concentration of the mixture, either you can prepare dosa using tawa or you can prepare adai.
