  • Moong Dal-1 cup
  • Ghee - 3/4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to deep fry

How to Make Thenguzhal

  • Roast rice, gram dal and moong dal for a while in a dry pan and grind them to powder. Take 2/3 of the ground powder, add salt according to your taste and a little ghee.
  • Add some water and make it into a dough.
  • Heat oil in a pan, put the dough in the murukku maker (with the thenguzhal plate in it) and squeeze it into the oil.
  • Deep fry to get the thenguzhal in golden colour.
  • You can mix the rice-dal powder to salt and water little by little so that the dough will be fresh and the thenguzhal will turn out golden colour every time.
