Ingredients

  • 1 packet - tofu (extra firm)
  • Oil to fry
  • For batter:
  • 1.5 cups - gram flour
  • 2 tbsps - yogurt
  • 1 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - ajwain
  • 1 tsp - dry methi leaves
  • 1 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 1.5 tsps - salt, or to taste
  • For filling:
  • 1 cup - green mint leaves
  • 1 tbsp - lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp - salt

How to Make Tofu Pakora

  • Mix all ingredients for batter and add water. Keep stirring until it is smooth.
  • Do not make it too thin, otherwise it will not stick to the tofu.
  • Grind all ingredients for filling.
  • Cut tofu into thin slices.
  • Heat oil on medium heat.
  • Take a slice, spread a little bit of the filling on it, and put another slice on top like a sandwich.
  • Now, dip it in the batter and fry it on medium heat for approximately 2 - 3 minutes.
  • Take it out, cut it in half and serve with ketchup or plain yogurt.
