  • 1 lb - tomatoes
  • 1 - large onions
  • 4 oz - vinegar
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 3 tsp - chilli powder
  • 4 oz = mustard oil
  • Salt & pepper to taste.

How to Make Tomato Chutney in Oil

  • Chop onion finely. Chop tomatoes and mix with onions.
  • Add vinegar, chilli powder, salt, sugar and mix well.
  • Heat oil in a kadai and fry mustard seeds until they crackle.
  • Add tomato mixture and cook until tender and the chutney thickens.
  • Bottle when cool.
