Ingredients

  • 1 kg - tomato (ripe)
  • 1/2 kg - sugar
  • 1/2 cup - vinegar
  • salt
  • To grind (with a little vinegar):
  • 15 g - garlic
  • 15 g - ginger
  • 10 g - dry red chillies

How to Make Tomato Chutney with sugar

  • Scald and skin tomatoes. Cut into pieces. Make into a puree.
  • Add the ground masala, sugar, vinegar and salt. Simmer gently over a low heat until the consistency of a chutney is reached.
  • Cool and store in a glass jar.
