  • 1/2 - tomatoes
  • 2- 3 - green chillies
  • 2 -onions
  • 3 tbsp - roasted gram (pottukadalai)
  • 3 tbsp - fresh coconut
  • 1 tsp - fennel
  • 1 small piece- ginger
  • 3- 4 flakes- garlic

How to Make Tomato Kurma For Idli

  • Boil tomatoes with green chillies and mash.
  • Keep oil on a tawa and fry chopped onions till golden brown.
  • Grind together all the rest of the ingredients and add with the onions to the boiling tomato gravy.
  • Side dish for idli is ready.
