Ingredients

  • Onion - 1/2 cup
  • Butter - 1.5 tbsp
  • Bay leaf - 1
  • Potato - 1/2 cup
  • Garlic - 1 clove
  • Tomatoes - 2
  • Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Water - 2 cups
  • Cream - 1/4 cup
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Tomato Soup

  • Heat a sauce pan and melt butter.
  • Add bay leaf, onion and potato.
  • Stir and fry without browning.
  • Add the remaining ingredients except cream.
  • Close the sauce pan and cook well for few minutes.
  • Remove from heat and cool it.
  • Open the sauce pan and discard bay leaf.
  • Blend this mix in a blender and run it through a seive.
  • Add the strained liquid back to sauce pan and reheat.
  • Serve hot and garnish each individual serving with a tbsp of cream.
