Ingredients

  • 2 - tomatoes
  • 1/2 - onion
  • 1 sprig - coriander
  • 2 - eggs
  • A pinch of turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp - oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp - pepper

How to Make Traditional Tomato Omelette

  • Blanch tomatoes. Peel and mash.
  • Heat a tsp of oil, fry onion and coriander with salt and pepper.
  • Add mashed tomatoes and fry for 3 mins.
  • Allow mixture to cool.
  • Beat eggs, add turmeric powder and the tomato mix.
  • Drizzle a pan with oil and pour out the omelette mixture.
  • Allow it to rise and turn over. Cook till done.
  • Serve hot.
