Ingredients

  • 250 g - Beans
  • 1 cup - Channa Dal
  • 1 cup - Moong Dal
  • 2 or 3 - Dry chillies
  • 4 - Green chillies
  • 1 tsp - Jeera
  • 1/4th tsp - Hing powder
  • As per taste - Salt
  • 10 or 15 leaves - Curry leaves
  • 1 tsp - Urad Dal
  • 2 tbsp - Oil

How to Make Traditional Vegetable Patholi

  • Soak the dal for 3 hours.
  • Cut beans finely.
  • Grind the dals coarsely along with green chillies, jeera and salt.
  • Take a heavy bottom kadai, heat oil, add dry chillies and urad dal.
  • Once the chillies and dal are fried, add beans.
  • Fry for 10 mins on medium heat.
  • Add the ground dal and fry for about 15 mins.
  • Lastly, sprinkle some hing and add 1 tbsp of cooking butter.
  • Cover for a little while and serve.
