Ingredients

  • 2 - lamb chops
  • 3 - carrots
  • 3 cloves - garlic
  • 2 - tomatoes
  • 2 - leeks
  • 1 cup - rice
  • Ground black pepper
  • 1 - red pepper
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • Olive oil for frying
  • Salt to taste
  • 2.5 cups - water

How to Make Turk Chawal

  • Fry the lamb chops in olive oil.
  • Add some salt and ground black pepper to the chops. Continue frying.
  • In the meantime, chop 3 medium sized carrots and add them to the meat.
  • Then chop the whole red pepper and add them too. Saute.
  • Add chopped garlic, chilli powder, tomatoes and 1/2 cup water. Saute.
  • Then add the chopped leeks and rice with 2 cups water.
  • Cook with lid on for 10 mins on a medium flame.
  • When cooked, rest 10 mins.
  • Serve hot.
