  • 1 litre - full cream milk
  • 2.5 tsp - corn flour
  • 3/4 cup - sugar
  • 1 cup - fresh cream
  • 1 tsp - vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup - cold milk
  • 1/4 cup - tutti-frutti pieces
  • 3 to 4 drops - orange colour

How to Make Tutti-Frutti Ice-cream

  • Bring milk to a boil. Boil for 15 mins on low, stirring occasionally.
  • Add orange colour soon after the milk has been boiled.
  • Mix corn flour in 1/2 a cup cold milk and keep aside.
  • Add sugar to the milk and stir.
  • Add corn flour paste, stirring continuously, till boiling resumes.
  • Boil for a further 4-5 mins and take off fire.
  • Cool to room temperature and freeze in a covered tray, till set but not hard.
  • Break into pieces and beat with an egg beater till soft.
  • Add tutti-frutti pieces while folding in the cream.
  • Add cream and essence and mix well.
  • The texture should be light and creamy.
  • Reset in the freezer till frozen.
