Ingredients

  • 1/2 Kg - Channa Dal
  • 1 cup - Rice
  • 10 - Green Chillies
  • 5-6 Garlic cloves
  • 1/2 inch piece Ginger
  • 1 tsp Aniseeds
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves
  • Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Vada Hariyali

  • Soak dal and rice for 2 hours. Grind to a rough paste.
  • Grind green chillies, coriander, garlic, ginger, ajwain and aniseeds to a smooth paste.
  • Mix the ground pastes (you should not let it get watery).
  • Heat oil in a deep pan and fry small amounts (with a spoon) till golden brown.
  • Serve this yummy vada hot with tomato ketchup.
