  • 1.75 cups - all purpose unbleached flour
  • 1 - egg
  • 1 tsp - baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp - baking soda
  • 1/3 cup - vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp - vanilla
  • 1 cup - sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • 3/4 cup - milk or juice
  • 2 tbsp - apple sauce
  • few drops - yellow colour

How to Make Vanilla Cupcakes with Applesauce

  • Sieve the flour using soda and baking powder for at least 3 times and set aside. Beat egg until frothy. Add sugar, salt, yellow colour, milk, apple sauce, vanilla, and oil and mix well again.
  • Add the sifted flour to the mixture and mix well until it forms a batter.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Line the muffin tray with baking cups and fill the mixture 2/3 full and set into the preheated oven.
  • Bake about 20 to 25 minutes or until the skewers inserted come out clean. The muffins will puff up and become golden brown in colour.
  • Note:
  • You can add any dry fruits or nuts of your choice.
  • Even an icing of your choice can be added.
