  • 3 cups - bread flour
  • 2 tbsp - sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp - cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp - active dry yeast
  • 1 cup - lukewarm water
  • 1/4 cup - olive oil
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 1/2 tsp - sugar
  • 1 tbsp - dry parsley leaves

How to Make Vegan Herbed Braided Bread

  • Ferment yeast in lukewarm water with sugar and salt for 10 mins.
  • Mix together, all-purpose flour, cumin seeds, sesame seeds, dry parsley leaves in a large bowl, add gradually, the foamy yeast with olive oil and mix everything to a soft and stiff dough
  • Grease a bowl and place the dough, let it sit for two hour in a warm place
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degree F, line a baking tray, grease slightly the baking sheet with olive oil
  • Punch the dough down, divide them into 3 portions, roll them well to form smooth balls
  • Roll each ball as thin ropes
  • Braid the ropes together, press the dough nicely at both ends
  • Place the braided loaf on a greased baking sheet, brush them with olive oil
  • Bake them for 25 - 30 mins until the crust turns brown
  • Let cool for few mins before serving
