1 - onion chopped in half rings
1 - tomato, chopped
12 to 13 - florets of cauliflower
1 - carrot, finely chopped
1/2 cup - Peas
1/2 cup - boiled macaroni
Salt and black pepper as per taste
1/4 tsp - ginger garlic paste
A little corn flour mixed in water
How to Make Vegetable Soup
Take a cooker/covered vessel, add onion rings and ginger garlic paste to fry.
Meanwhile, blanch all the vegetables in salted boiling water for 3-4 mins.
When onions are golden brown, put half the parboiled vegetables in it. Saute for 2-3 mins, add 3 cups water and then cook this mixture for 10 mins (covered) or if in cooker, till 3 whistles.
If you like your soup thin, you can sieve the mixture. If you like it thick, blend the cooker mixture in a mixi for 30 seconds.
Put the blended/sieved mixture in a pan on the fire.
Add salt and pepper.
Now add the macaroni and the other half of boiled vegetables to this.
Add a little water if required.
Simmer on low fire for 5 mins, add chilli sauce and stir gently.
Add the corn flour in water 2 mins before serving.
