  • One loaf of bread - 2 day old
  • Ghee or Butter - 2 tbsp
  • Salt
  • Pepper

How to Make Versatile Bread

  • Cut the loaf of bread into 5 long strips. Dry it in the sun or in an oven. (This is to stop it from absorbing too much ghee)
  • Add the slices to a kadai and cook on low fire.
  • Pour the ghee on the slices, while stirring, so it gets smeared.
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper. Mix for another 5 minutes. Remove.
  • Keep covered and let it cool.
  • Store in a tin when it is cool.
