  • 1/2 kg - yam (peeled and cut into medium pieces)
  • 2 tbsp - cooking oil
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 2 - large onions (chopped)
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp - vinegar
  • 2 - large tomatoes (chopped)
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Yam And Tomato Vindaloo

  • Heat oil in a pan and saute the onions till golden brown.
  • Add the garlic paste, tomato, cumin powder, chilli powder and vinegar and fry for a few minutes.
  • Add the yam and 2 cups of water and simmer on low heat till the yam is cooked.
