  • 1/2 kg - yam
  • 2 - onions (chopped)
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Yam Side Dish

  • Peel and cut the yam into small pieces.
  • Heat oil in a pan and saute the onions till golden brown.
  • Add the yam, chilli powder, turmeric and salt and mix well.
  • Add 2 cups of water and cook on low heat till the yam is cooked and the water dries up.
