Ingredients

  • 2.5 cup - maida
  • 1 cup - sugar
  • 3 - eggs
  • 200 gm - yoghurt
  • 5 tsp - baking powder
  • 1/4 cup - grated almonds
  • 2 tsp - lemon juice
  • 200 gm - butter

How to Make Yoghurt and Lemon Cake

  • In a bowl add butter, sugar and mix it well.
  • Separate the white and the yolk of egg. Add the white portion to the bowl and mix it well.
  • Mix the maida and baking powder.
  • Add half the yoghurt (100 gm) and half the maida to the bowl.
  • Add the almonds and lemon juice to the mixture.
  • Add the remaining yoghurt and maida.
  • Now add the whites of the eggs to the bowl.
  • Mix it lightly with hands.
  • Take a tube-cake pan and grease it thoroughly with oil or butter.
  • Pour the mixture into it.
  • Put the pan in a preheated oven (180 degrees Celsius) till it is done.
