  • 2 tbsp. cashew nuts
  • 4 cups hot, cooked rice
  • Juice of ½ lime or 1 tbsp. rose water
  • 1 cup sesame seeds
  • ½ tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 bay leaf, crumbled
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 tbsp. ghee

How to Make Yummy Sesame Rice

  • Saute cashew until golden brown in 1 tbsp. of the butter. Remove and set aside.
  • Add remaining 3 tbsp. of ghee and fry the sesame seeds, cayenne, and bay leaf until the seeds are a golden brown.
  • Combine the cashew nuts and fried sesame seeds.
  • Stir into the hot, cooked rice along with the salt.
  • Mix thoroughly. Sprinkle on the lime juice and serve hot.
